“Fabulous! The food was superb, our server was incredible and the view of the river was a great backdrop to a fabulous anniversary dinner. The restaurant's attention to detail made it a great evening. We WILL be back! High Cotton and its staff made our 28th Anniversary dinner memorable from the personalized menus, to the superb food crowned by our server's outstanding and attentive service. Thank you for a great evening.”
“We go here quite often and the food is always very good and creative, even with standard dishes. It is well prepared, beautifully plated. Service staff is very good as well and restaurant is just beautiful.”
“This place is fantastic. The decor and vibe are high end. The views form the tables near the windows are spectacular. The main course was flawless. I would definitely go back for the whole experience.”
“Chef Adrian Carpenter has revolutionized this restaurant with innovative, fresh-ingredient driven cuisine. The Red Wine Braised Oxtail with hand crafted potato gnocchi, baby carrots, forest mushroom was out of this world! The seating along the floor-to-high-ceiling windows overlooking the Reedy River and Falls is a most pleasant backdrop for dining.”
In 2001, Dr. David and Lisa Wortham bought a run-down gritsmill with some property in Pendleton, SC. The historic mill was originally built on the banks of the Six and Twenty Creek in 1784 by Mr. Isaac Timms. The mill was in continuous use until 1960. The Worthham’s decided to restore the mill rather than tear it down, and the restoration was completed in 2004. Now the 14 foot waterwheel is once again turning to power the original stones in the mill providing and grinding fresh grits and cornmeal for local restaurants and produce stands.
